Dobson Fiber Celebrates 85th Anniversary

Dobson Fiber has reached an amazing milestone as our company celebrates 85 years in business. Dobson has a rich history in the telecommunications industry. Founded in 1936 by E.R. “Doc” Dobson in Paradise, Oklahoma, Dobson Telephone Company is still providing service today in parts of Western Oklahoma as well as far eastern Oklahoma County. In addition, Dobson Fiber has grown into a regional provider of fiber internet and phone systems for businesses and homes throughout Oklahoma, and parts of Texas and Arkansas.

Throughout its 85 year history, The Dobson Companies have stayed on the cutting edge of the telecommunications industry, owning a large wireless operation from 1990 to 2007. Everett Dobson, who represents the third generation of the Dobson family provides leadership as Executive Chairman of the Dobson Fiber companies.
