Dobson Fiber Installs First Enid, Okla. Fiber Internet Residential Customer

Dobson Fiber announced last August its multi-million dollar commitment to build a fiber network to the majority of residents and businesses in Enid. Five months later, the commitment became reality by installing their first residential fiber internet customer, Chad Baker.

“I had cancelled my satellite TV and switched to streaming. Plus, I also do online gaming. My current internet provider was just not fast enough to handle my entire home’s internet needs,” said Baker. “I chose Dobson because they are faster and cheaper than what I was paying before.”

Baker said the installation process went quickly and was smooth. “I tested it out the first night by downloading a 100 GIG file on my Xbox.  It downloaded in about 20 minutes, so it’s fast. I’ve already recommended Dobson to my friends. They are just waiting for it to come to their area.”

“Our fiber network is being constructed in multiple zones throughout Enid. We will install and turn-up homes as soon as those zones are completed,” said Francisco Maella, Dobson Fiber’s CEO. “If we haven’t reached your area yet, register your address on our website at dobson.net/getfiber and we will notify you via email when your area is about 60 days out from being ready for home installations.”
