Dobson Celebrates One-Year Anniversary in Poteau

Dobson Technologies (Dobson) will celebrate the one-year anniversary of its first brick and mortar store, located in Poteau,OK on Saturday, April 8 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mayor of Poteau, Jeff Shockley, will officially declare April 8 as “Dobson Technologies Day” to commemorate the partnership between the business and the community. A presentation will be held at 12:30 p.m. on April 8 at Dobson’s sales and support center at 2208 N. Broadway in Poteau.

“Poteau has been the ideal location for our first brick and mortar store,” said Frank Franzese, Dobson President of IT, Transport and Telecom Solutions. “We believe this venture has greatly benefited Poteau businesses and residences and, in return, shows Dobson’s commitment to rural communities by providing the same online services and benefits as subscribers in larger, urban markets.”

The day’s celebration will feature the OKC Thunder Girls, Thunder Drummers and Thunder mascot “Rumble” who will be available for photos from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A free lunch will be provided, and attendees are encouraged to shoot hoops on the OG&E Thunderbolt trailer to fundraise $2 a basket to benefit the Poteau Schools Education Foundation. Dobson will also sponsor the Rotary Art & Wine Festival from 4 to 8 p.m. on April 8.

In recognition of their commitment to Poteau, Dobson will be holding a speaker series and presenting on a number of tech-oriented topics. The Poteau public is encouraged to attend to learn more about the company’s technology and the commitment to the growth and success of the Poteau community.

  • Dobson’s Commitment to Poteau: Frank Franzese, Dobson President of IT, Transport and Telecom Solutions at the Poteau Chamber Luncheon on Friday, April 7, 2017, from 12 to 1 p.m. at 501 S. Broadway in Poteau. Dobson Technologies will sponsor the meeting’s lunch.
