General Laborer

Summary   

This is a multi-faceted position requiring the individual to perform tasks and assignments across a broad range of new and rehabilitation-related construction projects, either independently, with an assigned work crew and/or in conjunction with other Construction Supervisors allocated to the project.

Job Description

  • A laborer is responsible for the day to day manual labor needed to support the construction operations of Dobson Technologies.
  • Working with crews will include shoveling, assist in laying conduit, and providing general support to the construction process.
  • Working with line crews will include supporting the linemen by feeding cable, setting up street cones, pulling cable, job site cleanup, and providing general support to the line construction process.
  • Cleans and maintains tools, sampling equipment and lab equipment.
  • Responsible for keeping site and grounds at plants clean and neat.
  • Performs daily equipment checks.
  • Load, unload and move materials around the worksite.
  • Ensure worksite is organized and free of clutter, rubble and garbage.
  • Other General Labor and construction duties are required.

Skills Required

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • General Labor: 1 Year (Preferred)
  • Able to read and comprehend regulations and instructions in English
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Perform heavy physical labor – lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Valid Driver’s License is required; CDL preferred
  • Available to be on-call or work overtime when needed
